Robert Goodrick the proud owner of the British Butcher Shoppe has a passion for his products that can only be described as infectious enthusiasm. When Robert talks you listen. The care and thought, beginning with the recipe to the finished product knows no limits.

Roberts's career commenced with him serving an apprenticeship for five and half years at the Abingdon Street Market. During this time he achieved City and Guilds certificates in Public Health and Meat Inspection. He also cruised the world's oceans serving as a butcher aboard the famous P & O liner, MVSS Canberra, prior to emigrating here to Canada in the 1970's. With that background it is no surprise that his attention to detail and insistence on purity of ingredients results in products of the highest quality.

Contentment does not seem to be in Roberts's vocabulary, innovation most definitely is. Robert has an overriding desire to provide his customers with an ever increasing range of sausage varieties, bacon, hams and pies. All these specialty items are complimented by additive free meats and for ex-pats a selection of British treats that almost attain treasure trove status.
